Dato’ Dr. Ashok Rudy Ratnanesan is a Malaysian entrepreneur, strategic communications specialist, trainer, and business advisor with over 28 years of experience in marketing, media, public affairs, training, stakeholder engagement, and organisational transformation.

Dato’ Ashok previously served as Communications and Media Director to the Governor of Penang, where he led strategic media, protocol, digital communications, and public engagement initiatives. His work has given him deep insight into leadership perception, institutional influence, public trust, and the importance of positioning the right message before the right audience. In 2022 he was awarded the Darjah Setia Pangkuan Negeri which carries the title "Dato" by the Governor of Penang.

Dato Ashok is also the receipient of letters of appreciation from the Chief of Police of Penang in 2025 and 2026 and also the receipient of a letter of commendation by the Inspector General of Police in March 2026.

 

He is also an HRD Corp Certified Trainer and the host of Acquire With Ashok, a podcast focused on talent development, leadership, business growth, power and perception, ethics, influence, and the future of work. Through his content, training, advisory work, and public conversations, he aims to help leaders, trainers, entrepreneurs, and organisations become more strategic, more visible, and more effective.
